These spiral designs are created by linking tangent arcs.

Two center spirals (linked semicircles):

Three center spirals (thirds of circle)

And a four centre spiral (formed by quarters of circle)

Tangencies in Graphic Design

Students of 1st of ESO have recently had their first
contact with tangencies, very useful in any field of design.
Nevertheless here are some exercises with an Op Art style, created with tangent circumferences and fading colours. They transmit sense of volume and vibration.
